Pastor Stacey-Kyle Rea

Rev. Stacey-Kyle Rea delights in serving God, and feels called and blessed to do God’s work with others.

Raised in Boyertown, PA, Pastor Skyle first became a Lutheran at the age of 10 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Boyertown, PA, where she was baptized and confirmed.  She graduated from Boyertown Area High School and continued her studies at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA, graduating with a BA in English and minor in Religion. She earned her Master of Divinity at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia, where she also completed a certificate in Metropolitan/Urban studies.

Pastor Skyle has a social ministry heart, and loves to help youth and families learn about Christ’s love through service. She has led large groups of youth and adults on mission trips, serving as a key leader in urban servant planning teams for the Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod. Helping youth experience Jesus is one of her very favorite things. She also serves on the lead planning team for the Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod’s capital campaign.

Prior to seminary, Pastor Skyle enjoyed a challenging career in retail merchandising, most recently for QVC, Inc. in West Chester, PA.  In her years at QVC, she worked in both the television and internet divisions.  Her creativity, strategic thinking and ability to foresee trends lent itself well to her buying career in the television division. As the internet became a marketplace, she negotiated contracts with search engines, and ultimately worked her way to Senior Copywriter, editing and writing copy for the largest products sold online.  She was also a “ghost writer” for executive speeches.

Though Pastor Skyle works hard, she also likes to have fun along the way! She’s an avid knitter, photographer, and singer. She loves spending time with her best friend and husband, John. She especially enjoys her job as a “theatre mom” to John’s youth students at the company he founded, MacGuffin Theatre & Film Co. in Philadelphia. John also serves as a church musician in PA.  They live in Philadelphia with their energetic dog, Henry.
