On All Saints’ Weekend, November 4th and 5th, we give thanks for the saints of every time and every place and especially remember those saints who have died in the past year. It is a “mini-Easter” in which we rejoice in the gift of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ and in the promise of life ever-lasting. We will begin our worship around the “font” in the St. John’s Columbarium. There we will affirm our baptisms, wherein we died and rose again with Christ. Then a bag-piper will lead us into the sanctuary as together we sing the glorious “For All the Saints.” As part of our celebration this year you will be invited to remember particular saints of every time and place by writing their names on a copper tag and then hanging the tags from a tree in the Columbarium Garden. This act of thanksgiving and remembrance reminds us of God’s goodness and grace. Please join us for this great feast and wonderful days of celebration.
