The strings of our resident ensemble, The Providence Chamber Orchestra, will present a program of delightful short works for string orchestra. Composers Henry Purcell, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Felix Mendelssohn, and Alexandr Glazunov are among those included on the program. Director of Music Tom Snyder directs the group. Founded in 1990, “the purpose and mission of the PCO is to bring together talented, amateur musicians who share a common passion for playing classical music, and who aspire to improve musicianship through challenging and expanding repertoire.” There is no admission charge but a freewill offering will be received. Masks are required of audience members.
