Susquehanna University Choir and Chamber Singers return to St. John’s on Sunday, April 6th, at 4:00 p.m.. The 58-member ensemble conducted by Dr. Amy Voorhees will present a varied program representing a diversity of composers and cultures.
During spring break, the choir embarked on a concert tour, performing works by well-known classical and modern composers. Pieces include “Waldesnacht” by Johannes Brahms, “Ecco Mormirar L’onde” by Claudio Monteverdi, “Segalariak” by Josu Elberdin and Ken Steven’s “Hela Rotan.”
This past February the choir participated in the Four Choirs Concert at Saint Patrick Cathedral, Harrisburg. The choir was invited to perform at the Pennsylvania Music Educators’ Association conference in April.
