Renew, Restore, Refresh: Growing in Our Relationship with God through Prayer
As followers of Jesus, prayer is one of the most important ways we grow in our relationship with God. The more we talk and spend time with someone, the more we get to know them. As we spend time with God in prayer, the closer we become. In prayer we “show up” just as we are, knowing we are unconditionally loved by our gracious God. In this relationship of trust we can share whatever is on our hearts. . . our joys and thanksgivings, our hurts and disappointments, our sadness and frustrations . . .
“Renew, Restore, Refresh: Growing in Our Relationship with God through Prayer” is the theme of this year’s WELCA retreat. You are invited to bring an object which in your experience describes prayer. This could also be an object used in your own personal prayer life such as a candle, devotional reading, prayer shawl, beads, bowl, artwork, or cross.
The retreat will take place on Saturday, April 6th. It begins with registration and coffee at 9 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. We welcome back Rev. Kris Peterson as our retreat leader. The cost is $15. Please contact Linda Landis with any questions.
