F. Thomas Snyder

Tom Snyder is a graduate of Susquehanna University with a BMus in Education.  After teaching music in the public schools for one year he found his passion – music ministry in the church.  He is a Deacon in the ELCA serving at St. John’s as Director of Music, a position he has held since 1990.  Tom is serving his second term on the Southeastern Pennsylvania Synodical Worship Committee, has served the planning committee for the ALCM regional convention, as one of the choral conductors for the installation of Bishop Bryan Pennman, and as the choral conductor for the 2023, 2024, and 2025 Assembly of SEPA.  Tom also serves as the conductor of the Providence Chamber Orchestra which makes its home at St. John’s.  Previously Tom served Zion Lutheran, Spring City, St. John’s Lutheran, Morrisville, and New Goshenhoppen U.C.C.  In addition to directing all the choirs Tom helps to provide leadership to the gathering time of Sunday Church School.
